Webinar: When Workplace Romances Go Wrong!

16th February 2018

12:00 UK time

When people share a working environment and spend a large amount of time together, it’s inevitable that relationships will occasionally develop beyond the platonic. However, intimate relationships between co-workers can have negative consequences, both for those involved and the rest of the team.

Negative outcomes can include:

  • Inappropriate behaviour in the workplace
  • Changes to the office dynamic
  • Perceived favouritism – especially if there is a difference in hierarchy between the people in the relationship

If the relationship ends (especially if the split isn’t amicable), there can be other problems to contend with:

  • Those involved may be unwilling to work together
  • Colleagues may take sides

In this webinar, Mike Talbot draws on his extensive experience of managing workplace conflicts to look at how mediation can be used to resolve these issues and get everyone working together again.

Who are UK Mediation?

Founded in 1999 by Dr Mike Talbot, UK Mediation have come to be recognised as the pioneering thought leader in mediation and mediation training.

Based in the United Kingdom and operating all over the world, UK Mediation uses only the most experienced mediators and adult educators: resolving disputes for people or training them how to do it for themselves.

We are mediation specialists. We understand how and why mediation works, we are experts in training and qualifying mediators, and we are passionate about what we do.

We know that a lot of mediators are throwing accreditations round like they are going out of fashion, so we will make it simple. We have all of the accreditations you would expect as well as Ofqual and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Not to mention we are the only mediation company to carry the Investors in People and ISO9001 awards.
