Mediation Showcase Event

Your chance to see a live simulated mediation case from start to finish

Friday 23rd February

Fenchurch Street, London

Sometimes you just need to see something in action to appreciate the benefits and understand how it works. Mediation is no exception.

We’re hosting a Workplace Mediation Showcase event in London on 23rd February with this aim in mind – to allow anyone with an interest in workplace mediation to see for themselves how it works.

We’re holding two sessions on the day, so you can pick the one that suits you best:

  • Morning: 11:00 – 12:00
  • Afternoon: 14:00 – 15:00

Book your free place by completing the registration form below.

At a glance

  • Free taster of how mediation works
  • A choice of morning and afternoon sessions
  • Central London location
  • Booking required (see below)
  • Who should attend?
    • HR managers and directors
    • Team leaders
    • Senior managers
    • In-house legal advisers
    • Employment lawyers
    • Anyone with an interest in how mediation can resolve conflict in their organisation

We hope you can join us!

You’ll witness a live simulated case between two co-workers whose working relationship has broken down to the point that they can barely stand to be in the same room as each other, let alone productively collaborate! You’ll get to watch the mediation from start to finish.

Watch this short video to find out more about this event from Dr Mike Talbot, our Founder & CEO, who will be leading the showcase.

The agenda

We’re holding two sessions on the day, one in the morning (11am-12pm) and one in the afternoon (2pm-3pm). Both will follow the same agenda…

  • Connector.

Dr Mike Talbot, will introduce the session, explain the background to the case, and then play the mediator in the simulations.

  • Connector.

    The individual sessions

You’ll see the initial one-to-one meetings, where the mediator meets with each disputant separately, allowing them the chance to explain what’s happened, what their issues are, and how they feel towards the other person.

  • Connector.

    The joint session

This is where the mediator begins the process of facilitating a better conversation between the two and attempting to find common ground, get them talking again, and hopefully reach an agreement.

  • Connector.

Following the simulated mediation, Mike will chair a Q&A session; your chance to ask questions about the techniques Mike used in the mediation, as well as his experiences of mediating hundreds of workplace disputes.

  • Connector.

    Networking and refreshments

You’re invited to stay after the Q&A for refreshments and networking. Mike and colleagues will be on-hand to talk with about mediation in general, and the services and training options we can provide.

Register your place

The event is open to anyone who would like to attend. Just complete the form below and we’ll add you to the guest list. We’re expecting a lot of interest, so book early to avoid disappointment!
