A new survey by the CIM (Chartered Institute of Management) has highlighted the effect that a "bad boss" can have on your working life by reporting on the numbers of people who have, or would consider, quitting because of this.
The findings state that 40% of managers found themselves in their roles "by accident" and that 49% of employees would consider quitting their jobs because of bad management.
Ruth Spellman, CIM's chief executive, said: "The figures reveal the depth of the crisis of confidence in UK management" and has launched a Manifesto for a Better Managed Britain.
