Having listened to a number of your suggestions, we are pleased to offer our new one-day Refresher programme which has been revised and updated.

For those who do not get the chance to mediate as often as they would like, a refresher day is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your skills and talk to like-minded individuals. We are encouraging those of you who are already working as mediators to come along and talk to others about experiences, best practice and how to market your services. For those of you who would like to know more about the new ACAS Code of Practice for workplace disputes, there will be a full update on what this means and the importance of your role as a mediator.

As well as receiving an update regarding mediation and the law, we will also be discussing the current economic crisis and how this is affecting employees, organisations and private industry. With tough times comes conflict and mediation has a big part to play in the resolution of this. The UK Register of Mediators will also be on the agenda with discussion about the need for a register, how the UKRM works, and how you can get involved.
