Congratulations to Bradford Council who have won an award for a ground-breaking scheme to tackle noisy neighbours. 

The Environmental Health service has teamed up with Community Accord, the UK's largest neighbourhood mediation service, to take a wider approach to dealing with noise complaints in the district.

Community Accord, a community mediation service, now follows up any complaints to see if the matter has been resolved. This scheme has now been working for 12 months and has now been praised as part of the John Connell Awards 2008.
