Why should law professionals undertake mediator training?
Posted: Jan 21 2010

As a qualified solicitor, mediation may be beneficial to your continuing personal development, and provide you with an alternative framework for resolving a whole host of disputes. With particular reference to family disputes and divorces, mediation can be employed between couples to result in an amicable settlement. The effects on children during a separation can be difficult, but a mutual and respectful split will minimise the impact.

With mediation now becoming a recognised alternative means of resolving many disputes, being able to resort to this skill when legal procedures are irrelevant or too time consuming can allow you to resolve certain cases quickly, without the need for court. For these reasons we offer both Interpersonal and Commercial training, which are accredited by the Law Society and Bar Council, as well as providing you with CPD hours. Our Interpersonal Mediation Practitioners Certificate provides you with a framework for resolving neighbourhood disputes, separations and workplace conflicts, whilst the Commercial Certificate allows you mediate on contractual disagreements and disputes carrying large monetary value.
