Interpersonal Disputes
Interpersonal disputesmight be considered to involve a falling-out, a strong disagreement with another person, a personality clash, or an instance of alleged bullying or harassment. Such disputes can take place in neighborhoods, between couples, or very commonly occur in the workplace.
As a means of resolving interpersonal disputes, mediation offers a common-sense alternative to the sort of adversarial action that would ultimately impose a settlement or sanction on one or both of the people in dispute. Interpersonal mediation is fast, confidential, inexpensive, and leaves the ultimate settlement or resolution in the hands of the disputing parties themselves.
The mediators we would assign from our panel to work with interpersonal disputes, all meet the same minimum criteria:-
- they are qualified to a nationally-accredited standard, having undertaken mediation training, and hold at least the Mediation Practitioner's Certificate or equivalent
- they have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience as mediators
- they work to our code of ethics and code of practice
- they hold appropriate indemnity insurance for their mediation work.
