Accredited Workplace Mediation Conversion

Our Accredited Workplace Mediation Conversion programme will qualify you to mediate in workplace disputes and deal with conflict typically experienced within both public and private sector organisations. This training is particularly suitable for qualified commercial and community mediators who wish to go on to provide workplace mediation, with the aims of encouraging ongoing professional relationships and minimising the impact on the workplace and other employees. Importantly, this type of mediation is actively encouraged by the ACAS Code of Practice for handling discipline and grievances at work.

You will learn:
• How to work safely within the ACAS code of practice
• When to employ mediation
• The importance of confidentiality and disclosure
• How and why disputes start

As well as covering legislative trends and up-to-date codes of practice, the programme will build on the skills you have already gained by using scenarios and case-studies which directly relate to the workplace. Led by a practising workplace mediator, the training will be highly relevant to today’s working environment and the increasing need to prevent disputes reaching more formal stages, such as the lengthy process and associated costs of the Employment Tribunal.
